Copyright in an infographic may belong to its creator or another rights holder. We name the creator under each graphic and link to their original page whenever we can find it. This page explains what you can do with the graphics and with the text we write about them.

Embedding an infographic on your site

Each infographic page has an embed box under the graphic. Copy the code and paste it into your page or post. The code shows the infographic at full width with two things you should keep: the credit to its creator and a link to our text version, which provides a text version and source notes.

Before embedding or downloading a graphic for reuse, check the rights holder’s published licence or ask them for permission for your intended use. An embed box is a technical convenience, not a grant of rights. Attribution alone does not replace permission. Do not remove the creator’s credit or present their work as your own.

Other uses need the creator’s permission

We do not own the graphics, so we cannot grant rights to print them, sell them, use them in advertising, edit them or include them in a paid product. For those uses, contact the creator. The “View the original” link on each page takes you to their own page for the graphic, where you will usually find their terms or contact details.

Where we could not identify who made a graphic, the page says so. If you know who made it, or if you made it, tell us and we will add the credit.

Our text versions

The key points, text versions, notes and corrections on each page are written by the Infographic Website editorial team. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link to the page it came from. Please do not copy whole pages.

If your graphic is on this site

If you made an infographic that appears here and want the credit changed, a link to your original page added or the graphic taken down, contact us with the page address.

Sharing

You can share any infographic page on social media using the buttons under the graphic, or link to the page from anywhere. Pinning the graphic to Pinterest from our page keeps the link back to its text version.
