This hub brings together infographics about learning and schooling, including study habits, university enrolment and tuition, literacy and library use, alongside two larger sections on language and psychology. Each page shows the graphic with its creator credited, writes out everything on it and adds context from the original research. Readers most often start with the 7 habits of highly effective teens, average IQ by state and IQ score ranges, 12 logical fallacies in debate, how flowers got their names and literary periods summed up in one sentence each. Where a popular idea is not backed by research, such as learning styles, the page explains what the evidence says.
The 42 infographics here fall into a few groups. Some deal with study and work: learning styles, teen habits, career choice, workplace skills and computer science basics. Others put numbers on education, with average IQ by US state, public library visits per person and university enrolment for women and men. A large share is about language, from native speaker counts and English proficiency rankings to the origins of colour, flower, car brand and currency names. The rest covers reasoning and the mind, including logical fallacies, cognitive biases and personality types.
For US state data, two maps sit well together. Average IQ by State Map and IQ Score Ranges, by Voronoi by Visual Capitalist, runs from 94.2 in Mississippi to 104.3 in Massachusetts, and every state falls in the 90 to 109 range the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale classifies as Average. Library Usage Statistics by State, Visits per Person in 2022 from USAFacts shows Wyoming leading with 3.82 public library visits per person in the 2022 fiscal year and Hawaii lowest at 0.60.
University Enrollment Rate by Country, Women and Men Compared by Latinometrics uses World Bank gross tertiary enrolment data for 33 countries. Women's rate is higher in 30 of them, led by Argentina at about 140%, and only Japan, Nigeria and Pakistan show men ahead.
On study and thinking, 7 Learning Styles Explained, and What the Research Says sets out Acadoceo's seven styles next to research reviews that found no good evidence that teaching people in their preferred style helps them learn more. 12 Logical Fallacies in Debate, Each With a Robot Example, drawn by Michele Rosenthal for Artists For Education, names the same 12 fallacies that the Purdue Online Writing Lab lists as common errors in argumentative writing. 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Explained in Order from Tutoria puts the habits back in Sean Covey's numbered order, as the graphic puts two out of sequence.
Language and Words and Psychology have their own sections.
Massachusetts has the highest average on the Voronoi by Visual Capitalist map, at 104.3, followed by New Hampshire at 104.2. Mississippi is lowest at 94.2, and every state falls in the 90 to 109 range the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale classifies as Average.
Research reviews have found no good evidence that teaching people in their preferred style helps them learn more, as the page on Acadoceo's 7 learning styles infographic explains. The infographic itself says the most effective study blends styles rather than sticking to one.
In the Latinometrics chart of World Bank gross tertiary enrolment data, women's rate is higher than men's in 30 of the 33 countries shown. The exceptions are Japan, Nigeria and Pakistan, and Argentina tops the chart with a women's rate of about 140%.
