The chart is titled Premier League Squad Value Ranking. Its introduction reads: “Heading into the new season, Man City once again have the squad with the highest estimated player value. At an estimated 1.32 Billion Euros, City’s squad value is a shade over 14x that of newly promoted Ipswich at 91.15 Million.” Each club is shown by its crest at the end of a purple bar, ranked from highest to lowest. By our arithmetic the 20 values add up to about €11.75 billion, and the top six clubs account for about 53% of that total.

What squad value measures

Squad value here is the sum of Transfermarkt’s estimated market values for the players in each club’s squad. It is an estimate of what the players might fetch in the transfer market, not a club’s revenue, wage bill or sale price. That is why the figures differ from club valuations and from revenue tables. Transfermarkt’s table can be viewed at dates going back to 2010, so the same ranking changes from one date to the next [1].

How the values have changed since August 2024

Transfermarkt’s Premier League table, opened in October 2026 and showing values dated 15 October 2026, puts the total for the league’s 20 clubs at €14.1 billion. Manchester City still lead at €1.5 billion, followed by Arsenal (€1.4 billion), Chelsea (€1.2 billion), Liverpool (€1.1 billion) and Manchester United (€929 million). The bottom of the table has changed completely: West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and Leicester City are no longer in the league table, while Sunderland, Leeds United, Coventry City and Hull City appear, and Ipswich Town are back with a value of €381 million [1].
